I went back to school today. What a weird day, no other way around it. The classes themselves were no problem, but the chats and the rides were a hassel.

I had to explain the whole reason I'm still here, which was equal parts annoying and humiliating.

And then the bus tire blew on the ride home. We had to wait for a rescue bus and I ended up arriving home an hour behind schedule.

I'm just hoping all the bad stuff is out of the way.

Oh my FLIPPING God!

Mar. 6th, 2008 | 11:38 pm

Alright, so I went to a show at The Haunt with my friend Alexis and her boyfriend. We originally went to see Honor Bright, friends of Alexis and this guy I'm seeing, Justin.

The first band sucked.

Honor Bright was awesome, as usual. I actually got over my shyness long enough to introduce myself.

And then this goth/industrial band called The Dreaming came on. And I'm watching them and I'm like 'this guy's voice sounds so familiar'. But I couldn't put my finger on it. They were fucking awesome, to be quite honest. And then at the end of the set, the lead singer is all like "I'm going to play the song that got me famous with my old band. Hope some of you know it." Something to that effect.

And HOLY SHIT.

They started playing "Save Yourself" by Stabbing Westward. OMG!

A few years back, I went through a goth phase. Doesn't everyone. I listened to Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle and Tool religiously. And like 'Save Yourself' was one of the songs that really hit me and really stuck with me through out the years, even though the band had been over for a full year before I first heard it. Five years later, it is still one of MY songs.

So I fucking jump off my seat and run to the crowd, gathering around the stage, singing at the top of my lungs. So he grabs my hand and pulls me to the way front and shoves the fucking mic in my face! I'm like... dead at this point. Total bliss.

And after the set is over, he makes a b-line to me and was like "First off, snaps for being the only girl who knew the words. And how the fuck old are you? There is no way you know the words!"

We introduced ourselves and seriously talked for like an hour. He was so nice and attentive and all that good stuff. And when I had to leave, he was actually kind of bummed. It made me happy.

AND I GOT PICTURES!

OMG! )

Yesterday was my brother's birthday. My baby brother turned 16. Sigh.

It was mad fun, though.

Happy Birthday to You! )

OMG.

DISNEY WAS AMAZING! I don't even know where to begin. Oh jeez...

MGM: Owns my ass. Amazing. The very first ride we went on was the Tower or Terror. I thought it was going to lift us up, drop us down, boom done. But nooo way. They had a whole story along with the ride, you were seriously part of a Twilight Zone Episode. They had hollograms and flashing lights. And then BOOM. Darkness and dropping. These doors would open, and you could see the people in the park for like five miliseconds before falling again. I loved it.

Then my family went on the Rock and Rollercoaster. It went upside down, so I obviously had no interest in it. Maybe next time. But I had fun in the gift shop. It was awesome stuff. Hooray Aerosmith.

And then we all watched the 3D Muppet show. It was so funny. I got a Bean Bunny stuffed animal at the gift shop. He's my new favorite ever. Too cute.

And we got to eat at fucking PIZZA PLANET! They actually had a crane machiene where you could get the little Toy Story Aliens. I was in heaven, good God.

EPCOT: I didn't really like this place. My brothers got to go on Mission:Space and the Test Track thing. And I was bored to tears.

BUT. Easting at the Coral Reef seafood place was awesome. One of the walls was an aquarium. And I got to watch the little stingrays play tag. It was so cute!

ANIMAL KINGDOM: MY FAVORITE PLACE EVER! There were all these animal everyswhere (duh) and you could just go up and pet them and yeah.

We spent the day there with my Uncle Tim, Aunt Clemencia, and my cousins Juan [16] and Sara [13]. I'd never met any of them before, so it was cool to break the ice on rides and stuff. My Aunt Clemencia was born in Colombia and doesn't speak much English, but we managed. Family speaks louder than words, I guess.

We road on the Dinosaur ride. You sit in this SUV thing and go "back in time" to the Cretacious period. And you drive around, trying to run away from the big Carnisaurs. And you get to bring back the one dinosaur from the movie Dinosaur. It's soooooo much fun.

And then we went on Expedition Everest. OMG. It was sooooo awesome! You go forwards, backwards, the track changes. And there's a huge Animatronic Yeti. Gah, so awesome!

Then we all went on the Safari. I took pictures of giraffes, elephants, gazelles, crocs, so on and so forth. Juan and I were having so much fun swapping cameras.

Sigh. I miss them.

MAGIC KINGDOM: Sigh. This was fantastic.

I spent my first time there with Dad and Jordan. And because my dad was on crutches, there was no such thing as a line.

We rode Space Mountain three times in ten minutes, while the stand-by wait was 2 hours. It was pretty kick ass. Space Mountain = favorite ride. Jordan and I took turns being upfront. And while we were riding, we sang "Zippadee Do Da." Or however it was spelt.

2nd favorite = Splash Mountain. Especially at 11PM. It's so cute and funny and awesome! I love Brer Rabbit so so so so much. And the Zippadee Do Da song is my favorite. Sigh, I was singing it all night. And getting wet was fun. Sigh. So so so so rad.

AND THEN!

We were at the castle to watch this Christmas show. And I was standing next to the cutest boy ever. Well, he was 20, but whatever. We got to talking and he told me that he worked for the park. He goes to a University in Philly, and has been at a school in Orlando since August for an on-the-job training. He designed all the costumes in the Christmas show and parade.

So, we're watching the show and he's singing the songs. And halfway through the show, he started crying. He said that the show was like his baby and the cast his family, and he didn't want to leave them. This onegorgeous guy dancer kept waving at him and blowing him kisses.

Well.

During the finale, right after the fireworks, the dancer jumped down and ran over to the guy and kissed him. Just right there, infront of God, kids and Mickey Mouse. So, of course, the costume designer starts crying harder, saying how he didn't want to leave him. The dancer pulls a plane ticket out of the pocket and says "I'm going to Philly with you. Merry Christmas."

And I squealed.

God, it was so adorable.

So, that was Disney. There are other things, but thatwas a highlight. I leave for Philly tomorrow evening. Granpa Billy's 100th birthday. I'll be back late on the 30th. Day trip, don't miss me too much.
